Collection Success in Ilkley

Sunday 21st September saw another fantastic turn out from the people of Ilkley and the surrounding areas in support of the annual Ilkley Wharfedale Rotary Club collection.

The Rotarians set up in the main car park in Ilkley to collect unwanted glasses, tools, sewing machines, backpacks, bikes and mobility aids to be recycled and reused by a variety of charities, including of course MCF!

The support was incredible and, including a few requests to collect bikes after the official day, the final number of bikes collected was 109. The first van load of bikes was loaded up and delivered straight to HMP Lindholme on Monday after the collection and when refurbished these bikes will be put to good use – either being sold to raise funds for the charity or donated to people in need.
